May has already been full of embroidery, markets, and meeting so many new faces — and to all of our new subscribers, welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.
The Stitch Report
New to the Porch
One of the most exciting additions this month is our newest signature design: the Charleston Pineapple. A timeless Southern symbol of hospitality, this design feels right at home on wreath sashes, linens, and heirloom gifts. It’s classic, charming, and already becoming a favorite, and secretly- it also reminds us of home and that beautiful pineapple fountain in downtown Charleston.

We’ve also added two new customer favorites to the shop: monogrammed aprons and cozy embroidered blankets. Both make beautiful gifts for weddings, graduations, housewarmings, dorm rooms, or simply adding a personal touch to everyday life at home.

What’s Flying off the Porch
As summer approaches, Fourth of July wreath sashes are quickly becoming one of the season’s most requested pieces. Along with patriotic styles, custom designs continue to grow — from honoring military branches like the USMC to celebrating beloved family dogs (yes, doodles, labs, and dachshunds are all having a moment).
Find Us In The Wild
If you’ve spotted us around town recently, here’s where we’ve been “in the wild”:
- Viking High School Market — May 2
- The Southern Threader — May 9
- COMING UP: Spartanburg Mahj at The Bearded Cork — May 28 with @burgbammahj
You can always shop in person at Market on Main in downtown Spartanburg, order directly through Shopify, or message us for custom embroidery requests.
Coastal Clues Ahead...
Something coastal is quietly stitching its way into the studio for summer. Think soft blues, breezy Southern charm, and elegant heron designs inspired by the Carolina coast.
A few new coastal-inspired pieces are already in the works — perfect for porches, beach homes, summer hosting, and anyone who believes blue and white is always a good idea.
Consider this your little sneak peek before June arrives.
Porch Party Notes
Porch Party Tip:
A simple way to make guests feel instantly welcomed: keep a small basket of linen cocktail napkins near your drink station. It’s an easy detail that makes gatherings feel thoughtful, elevated, and effortlessly Southern — even if you’re just serving sweet tea on the porch.
Summer Sip: Basil Peach Sparkler
This may be the easiest summer drink you make all season:
- Peach nectar (find it in the juice aisle)
- Sparkling water or prosecco
- Fresh basil
- Lots of ice
Fill a glass with ice, add equal parts peach nectar and sparkling water (or prosecco for a cocktail version), then gently clap a basil leaf between your hands before dropping it in. It tastes fresh, a little unexpected, and feels fancy with almost no effort.

Thank you for supporting small business, heirloom craftsmanship, and all the little details that make a house feel like home.
